Our guest this month is Dustin Hartzler who runs the very popular podcast YourWebsiteEngineer . Dustin has a number of years developing WordPress-powered websites and now also works as an employee of Automattic (that’s not a typo! it has two T’s) the company which runs WordPress.com
Dustin has been running YourWebsiteEngineer for over four years and it is one of the most popular WordPress podcasts.
We talk about the competition in WordPress hosting. Dustin did a number of podcasts on this particular subject in November 2014 where he looked at over seven of these hosting solutions. He basically agreed with my conclusions connected to the three hosting solutions that we looked at last week; that for real power, great looking, and totally responsive designs SquareSpace was best; however, it was not the easiest of this group to use straight out of the box. The one that we both like the most for ease of use in its interface was Wix.

The Podcast
I’m glad you stopped by to check out my site. I’m a huge fan of creating podcasts, so that’s where I spend the bulk of my time creating content. The show started back in 2010 and is released every Wednesday. My goal is to share at least one main topic per show, to help you focus / learn how to do one thing each week. I also field listener’s questions in the show as well. If you have a question, head on over to the contact page and send me a message. I’ll try to get back with you as soon as I can.
All of the episodes have great content; however, newer shows will have the most current solutions, so please keep that in mind while listening to older episodes. If you are relatively new to WordPress, go back into the archives and listen to the first six episodes. This will give you a great background on WordPress and how to prepare for your website. Then, I’d recommend listening to the most recent episode and working through the archives in reverse chronological order.
