So... What makes WP-Tonic so different?

We only support membership and LMS websites: It is our passion!

Your online membership business requires a bunch of different solutions that sometimes end up being duct-taped together, leading to frustrating results. You know the pain: your checkout page won’t add your customers into your mailing list, or your membership site won’t revoke access when a user refunds payment, etc.

We can help make sure all the individual sections of your WordPress-powered website are woven together so they seamlessly “talk” to each other, without you having to configure any integration whatsoever.

For example: if someone lands on your WordPress page, Google Analytics will automatically track it for you. If a user fills in a form, we can set them up as subscribers to your newsletter instantly.. If a customer pays through a checkout, our system will automatically send out the login credentials.  All of this will be interconnected for you..

Sends to who? the new customer or the site owner?

Got questions? We've got the answers!

Yes, Membership/LMS Websites with this type of advanced functionality require our Growth plan* WooCommerce option. Basically, WooCommerce takes more resources for us to manage, so making sure you’re on the right plan means we’ll be able to dedicate what’s needed to keep your website secure, fast, and running smoothly.

Absolutely! WP-Tonic is 100% PCI and GDPR compliant, using payment-gateway-sanctioned industry best practices to ensure that your shopping experience, and that of your customers, is a safe one. "PCI security standards are technical and operational requirements set by the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) to protect cardholder data. The standards apply to all entities that store, process, or transmit cardholder data – with guidance for software developers and manufacturers of applications and devices used in those transactions. The Council is responsible for managing the security standards, while compliance with the PCI set of standards is enforced by the founding members of the Council, American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa Inc." (From “PCI DSS Quick Reference Guide” published by the PCI Security Standards Council™) In other words, WP-Tonic is as secure as a secure platform can be in this day and age. And as security standards and capabilities evolve, you can be sure that WP-Tonic will be among the first platforms to incorporate them.

Selecting the right LMS for your needs is important to do before building your site because once you have built the platform, it is not particularly easy to change platforms. WP-Tonic has selected the best WordPress plugins to meet the needs of a variety of customers. Our onboarding discovery process will help you select the right one for your needs. What’s the difference between a Learning Management System plugin for WordPress and a theme? Best practices for WordPress recommend that functionality be placed in plugins while aesthetics of the site be managed by the theme. Since an LMS provides functionality, much like a shopping cart or membership plugin, we recommend and work with LMS Plugins not themes. You may have a theme created to work with a specific LMS plugin, but the Learning Management functionality should reside in the plugin.

Unlimited edits do include edits to content, changing plugin settings and CSS adjustments. Things that are not included are custom development (PHP, plugins, themes, etc), updating custom code, graphic design, PSD to WordPress, creation of content or building out a new website or subdomain. EXAMPLE 1 Included: You want us to change out the logo with one that you provide. Not included: You want us to edit your logo image. EXAMPLE 2 Included: You want us to add a new product to your WooCommerce store (for which you’ve provided all needed content). Not included: You want us to create a custom checkout process for your WooCommerce store. EXAMPLE 3 Included: You want us to install and set up a plugin to use its built in functionality. Not included: You want us to create new functionality that doesn’t exist in a plugin. (This would require custom development which may be available at an hourly development rate.) EXAMPLE 4 Included: You want us to take the text that you emailed to us and use it to replace the current content on your About page. Not included: You want us to write content for or design your About page. We’d be happy to help you with custom development as well. That kind of project is fully covered by our Concierge hours blocks or a retainer plan.

First, we need to check your details and your website hosting and login details before we activate your account. We also like to do a full backup of your site before we start working.
