Selecting the right LMS or LMS with BuddyBoss for your needs is important, its not particularly easy to change platforms.. WP-Tonic recommends either LifterLMS, LearnDash or BuddyBoss

Here some general recommendations.

#1 - if you are an individual consultant, business coach, online trainer, or any small one-person business we would recommend LifterLMS as the easiest and most powerful WordPress LMS solution for your needs.

#2 - If you are a multi-person business, college, or university type organization we would recommend LearnDash.

What’s the difference between a Learning Management System plugin for WordPress and a theme?

Best practices for WordPress recommend that functionality be placed in plugins while aesthetics of the site be managed by the theme. Since an LMS provides functionality, much like a shopping cart or membership plugin, we recommend and work with LMS Plugins, not themes. You may have a theme created to work with a specific LMS plugin, but the Learning Management functionality should reside in the plugin.

We are based in Carson City , Nevada. Our office hours are 11 am – 7 pm CST (9 am – 5 pm Pacific), Monday – Friday. This is when our Customer Support team is available to help you and address more immediate issues or requests.

We will be depressed if you want to leave us! However, break-ups do happen, and we don’t believe in keeping you trapped in a bad relationship so here’s the deal.

#1 - Migrating: we will charge you for this service when requested also you are also expected to give us all the required information that will allow us to migrate your website successfully to your new hosting provider or you can hire your own developer to help you move your website with our help this totally down to you.

#2 -We do require that you give us written 30 days' notice by email, (excluding your 14-day trail-out period), the 30 days' notice starts from when you receive a formal email response back from us which you can expect in less than 24 hours from your original email (excluding weekends and national holiday.)

#3 - If one of the auto monthly or yearly payments is charged to your account during this 30-day notice period you will not receive a refund.

#4 - All plugins and software that we install as part of your WP-Tonic membership will be de-licensed* before we migrate your site to a new hosting platform.

#5 - We are the only parties who are allowed to migrate clients' websites off our platform to another hosting provider.

*de-licensed means the software/plugin will still work on your new WordPress hosting platform but you will not receive updates and support from the original plugin developer/provider unless you buy your own license from each plugin developer/provider.

 

As a WP-Tonic customer, you might have occasional tasks that you don't want or have time to do and if this is the case you can buy a 1-hour block of time from us at  $100.00 per hour, which you can buy here.

However, if you need more regular help with tasks a better value solution would be buying one of our ongoing support packages starting at $32 per month.

 

Edits we do include edits to content, changing plugin settings, and CSS adjustments. Things that are not included are custom development (PHP, plugins, themes, etc), updating custom code and the creation of content, or building out a new website or subdomain.

EXAMPLE 1

  • Included: You want us to change out the logo with one that we or you have provided.

EXAMPLE 2

  • Included: You want us to add a new product to your WooCommerce store (for which you’ve provided all needed content).
  • Not included: You want us to create a custom checkout process for your WooCommerce store.

EXAMPLE 3

  • Included: You want us to install and set up a plugin to use its built-in functionality.
  • Not included: You want us to create new functionality that doesn’t exist in a plugin. (This would require custom development which may be available at an hourly development rate.)

EXAMPLE 4

  • Included: You want us to take the text that you emailed to us and use it to replace the current content on your About page.
  • Not included: You want us to write content for your About page.

We are happy to help you with custom development but you will need to get a custom quotation from us

 If you are a  Starter, Growth, or Scale WP-Tonic hosted plan and you need some minor help but you don't feel that you need to sign up for one of our ongoing support plans for your WordPress, LMS websites you can buy one Concierge hour for $100.00. Which you can buy here.

*Our normal agency rate is $150 per hour.

We complete most tasks between 24 and 48 hours Monday to Friday. If you request a task over the weekend, we generally start looking at these tasks on Monday unless we deem it to be an urgent problem.

* We classify a production website as being fully available to the general public and that the public can buy a membership or courses directly from the website.

First, we need to check your details and your website hosting and login details before we activate your account and move forward.
We also like to have a one-to-one initial detailed onboarding Zoom with our new customers.

 

We monitor your website 24/7 however most fixes/jobs are completed Monday to Friday, during WP-Tonic’s normal business hours. We monitor incoming tasks over the weekend, so if there’s an urgent issue we can call in a WP Tonic developer for extra help and get your website up and running.

Yes, we can provide a white label service and we work with a number of digital agencies . We also have a very competitive affiliate program you can join. We also provide custom services to graphic designers,PR companies and WordPress consultants.

We fix it. However, this may involve recovering from one of our backups, depending on what’s happened.

If you have a support plan with us we’ll fix it, or we’ll roll it back plugin to a safe version. We can repair or replace most basic plugins fairly easily and quickly. For premium plugins like shopping carts (Business Plus Plan), repairs can take considerably longer. For large-scale fixes related to complex custom page templates for commercial plugins such as WooCommerce, we normally ask our members to buy blocks of discounted hours ($100 per hour) which allows us to do these larger updating jobs.

Yes, it does! A high-quality specialist WordPress hosting provider is especially important for membership or LMS websites. However, WP Tonic works with all the leading quality hosting providers.

If you’ve had problems with your existing host or if they are not providing the recommended WordPress environment, we more then happy can get you moved and site “free of charge” to our hosting solution.

Absolutely, you can upgrade or downgrade, however, you will need to contact us to do so*.

* Unfortunately we can not allow customers who have paid annually to change their plans to monthly

Technical tasks are only taken on if they can typically be completed within 30 to 45 minutes.
