This week on the WP-Tonic Roundtable John Locke, Chris Badgett, Adam Preiser and special guest Ron Huber joined host Jonathan Denwood for the roundtable discussion
The sponsor for this show is IntelligenceWP (intelligencewp.com) – a plugin helping you make more sense about your WordPress analytics.
The team covered topics including what is important about providing quality support for software and the issue of WordPress Content Scraping.
For product owners providing quality support means many things (https://herothemes.com/blog/12-wordpress-product-owners-share-thoughts-offering-better-support/). This includes having clear boundaries (some support issues are feature requests and must be treated as such), making sure you understand the question, and going the extra mile when you can.
The group also discussed Brian Jackson’s article on WordPress Content Scraping (https://kinsta.com/blog/content-scraping/). The discussion on whether to ignore it or when to fight it featured Adam Preiser’s battle with people stealing his trademarked content. While some things may be ignored, if you ignore people stealing your trademarked information, you can lose your trademark.
Every Friday at 8:30am PST we have an round-table show with a group of WordPress developers, online business owners and WordPress junkies and discuss the latest and most interesting WordPress related articles/stories of the week.
You can watch the show live every Friday at 8:30am PST on our Facebook WP-Tonic Show page.

I was in two minds if I should say anything about Parkland school shooting in Florida so I let my heart tell me what to do also something that Stalin said came into my mind…
“One official arose and made a speech about this tragedy — the tragedy of having millions of people dying of hunger. He began to enumerate death figures … Stalin interrupted him to say: “If only one man dies of hunger, that is a tragedy. If millions die, that’s only statistic”
Here my personal response to Stalin’s words.
Nicholas Dworet, 17
Nicholas, a senior, had just received a swimming scholarship. Journalist Glenn Greenwald reported his death on Twitter, citing his niece Alex, who shared her memories of Nicholas on Instagram.
“We walked into kindergarten together, so knowing that you won’t be walking across the stage at graduation with me in a few months is devastating and heartbreaking,” Alex Greenwald wrote.
Jaime Guttenberg, 14
Before 4 p.m. Wednesday, Fred Guttenberg posted on his Facebook page, asking for anyone who had spoken to his daughter to contact him.
“For those of you wondering, I have Jesse and he is OK. We cannot reach Jaime,” he wrote.
On Thursday morning, Guttenberg wrote on Facebook:
“My heart is broken. Yesterday, Jennifer Bloom Guttenberg and I lost our baby girl to a violent shooting at her school. We lost our daughter.
