In this episode, our regular panelist Morten Rend Hendriksen had a lot to say connected to one of the articles that I selected for this week’s show ” An Unpopular List of Marketing Trends for 2019” by Rand Fishkin. Morten feels with a lot of help from a small group of hugely powerful internet based companies we are heading for a hideous dystopian future. The only part of this that I disagree with is that Morten feels that the social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube have changed “dramatically” people’s behavior for the worse i.e. its a new tool for repression.

My position is slightly different I feel this has been an ongoing struggle from the beginning of recognizable civilization between good and evil, from moving to the light and forces in us all that want us to move to the darkness. See every time we seem to be collectedly to be moving closer to Blake’s Jerusalem repression appeals and drives us back, and because of this, a lot of people say why bother, we’re fucked, we’re collectively “doomed.” However, a possible answer to this feeling of this very dark moment at the beginning of the 21 century is what Dostoevsky had to say “Beauty Will Save The World!.”
